Branchet was born in Lons-le-Saumier, France, in 1934 and studied law and Economics
at the Sorbonne.

He has participated in exhibitions in France, Spain, Italy, Hungary, and Holland including
MADI exhibitions since 1995. He currently resides in Nantes, where he owns the
Galerie Convergence de Nantes.
